Therapeutic Exercise

The APTA defines therapeutic exercise as the systematic performance

The APTA defines therapeutic exercise as the systematic performance or execution of planned physical movements or activities intended to enable the patient or client to remediate or prevent impairments of body functions and structures, enhance activities and participation, reduce risk, optimize overall health, and enhance well-being. Exercise is an integral portion of a persons plan of care that ultimately helps a patient return to their prior level of function. At Andrew's Physical Therapy we do not use technicians to ensure all of the exercises being performed are being done under the supervision of the licensed physical therapist. This is so all exercises are being done with proper form to ensure you are engaging the right muscle, tendon, nerve etc for maximum benefit. We aim to build a specific exercise program designed specifically for you that is not a cookie cutter generic program. At the conclusion of physical therapy you will be discharged with your exercise program so you can maintain a healthy pain free lifestyle.
