Ultrasound Imaging
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create real time images of muscles, tendons
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create real time images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Ultrasound imaging is becoming increasingly popular nowadays due to its ability to provide real time imaging as well as its safety and cost effectiveness as compared to MRI’s, CT Scans, and X-rays. We use ultrasound imaging in our clinic to help identify injured tissue that may be contributing to the patient’s symptoms. This helps improve our ability to correctly treat the injured area. We can also use the ultrasound imaging in real time to help guide dry needling treatment so it is more accurate and likely to hit the area causing dysfunction.
