About expert

Andrew was born in New York before being raised in the small town of Weston, Connecticut. Upon completing high school Andrew attended the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During his time at Maryland Andrew spent a year working with the Maryland Terrapins football team in strength and conditioning. Here he learned the intricate details of exercise form and exercise program design, and how to train higher level athletes (some of whom still play in the NFL today!). Andrew ultimately fell into the physical therapy profession and spent a year working as an exercise technician in a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic in Virginia prior to beginning physical therapy school. Andrew went on to graduate school and obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from George Washington University in Washington DC in 2019. After completing his studies Andrew moved to Texas where he worked in outpatient orthopedics while pursuing advanced education and receiving mentorship. Andrew completed a 17 month Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) where he mastered hands on manual techniques and exercise principles in the management of orthopedic and neurological conditions. In 2020 Andrew became a certified dry needling practitioner (Cert. DN) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. Andrew has since logged thousands of hours dry needling and has even come to develop his own methods of needling. In 2022 Andrew became trained in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging. Andrew can use ultrasound imaging to help better identify injuries in real time to get a more accurate understanding of a patient's condition. He can also use the ultrasound image to guide more accurate dry needling procedures in the management of complex cases. Andrew believes in applying western based knowledge and evidence based treatments to patients while looking at them holistically and figuring out the root cause of their injury or pain. Andrew enjoys working with people of all age groups and demographics and helping them achieve their goals, as well as building lasting friendships. Andrew has previously lived in New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, northern California, southern California, and Texas. Andrew is now happy to call Colorado home. In his free time Andrew enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling, going to concerts, fishing and hiking, playing pickleball and tennis, golfing, and watching sports as he is a die hard New York Jets fan.
